In addition to cash bonuses, the government will also cover the income tax (PPh) on the bonuses received by these athletes.<\/p><p>According to Dwi Astuti, Director of Public Relations and Services at the Directorate General of Taxes (DJP), this policy is a form of recognition for the athletes who have brought pride to Indonesia on the international stage. For instance, two gold medalists will receive bonuses of IDR 6 billion, while bronze medalists will receive IDR 1.65 billion.<\/p><p>Moreover, coaches who successfully guide their athletes to win medals will also receive bonuses. Gold medalist coaches will receive IDR 2.75 billion, while bronze medalist coaches will receive IDR 675 million.
